Hello Team Racers,
We wanted to get the information out about the 2008 Charles River Open Team Race. Our dates will be Fri, Sat and Sunday, June 25-27. The Friday sailing will be optional, with people who race on Friday evening getting a later report time on Saturday morning. Once again high paced action will be featured on the Charles River, with expert race management provided by last year's champions (of pretty much everything), Silver Panda. As always, hospitality will be provided by MIT Sailing. We will use (up to) 36 FJs and 12 420s, enabling us to have 16 teams racing at a time. This year's entry will be limited to high school and college team racers. Others who have actively contributed back to high school and college sailing will also be allowed entry. These sailors must have spent a minimum of two full days to help run, umpire, judge, or coach at a college or high school sailing event in this academic year. There will be a field in the registration form to provide information about the event you assisted at and contact info for the organizer who will be asked to verify your participation. Entry fee, NOR, and registration will be online soon, but we wanted to get our date and format out to people ASAP. Only completed entries will be accepted so line up an eligible sailing partner now.
