FINAL RESULTS
REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS: 15 sailors from five schools sailed on the waters of Lake
Washington in Seattle. Saturday morning racing got started at 11:00 with a 5
knot southerly. By the end of the second race the wind had died almost
completely. Sailors were postponed ashore, and the wind never filled enough to
start another race. We finally called it a day at 5:00.
Sunday saw sun, 70 degrees, and a perfect 8-10 knot Northerly. We completed 9
more races by 4:00 with only a short break ashore. All courses were W2's
averaging 22 minutes. No protests were filed. Congratulations to Sophomore
Glen Stellmacher of the University of Washington for winning the event. Good
luck at Nationals!
