REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:
Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
Saturday saw near ideal conditions for the second annual Western Canada
Cup, with winds blowing around 10mph all day, and sustained winds of up to
15mph, allowing both divisions to complete six races. Conditions were a
mix of rain and sun, and warm with an average temperature of 7 degrees
Celsius.
An extremely strong breeze of about 30kts gusting up to 40kts forced
racing to be abandoned before heading out on the water Sunday. Awards were
presented at about 10:30am, allowing everyone to head home early.
Thanks to everyone who attended, and to Pepsi Canada for providing the
drinks, to Thrifty Foods for providing the food for the BBQ, and to Bosuns
Locker, Rekord Marine, and Ronstan for providing the awards.
