Saturday: ENE Winds at 3-8 kts. Beautiful Sunshine and temps in the low 70s. A delayed starting time due to crew races on El Rio de Charles was perfect for competitors because there was no breeze until 11:30. Once the breeze filled in, 6 races were completed in each division.
One protest resulted in Cornell being disqualified from race 5A. There were no breakdowns, but many were avoided due to relentless sail patching during the delay (we're STILL waiting for our new sails from North). Two "Shark-Bite" races were held. It's the Terrier version of a "Reeses" race -- the winners are treated with a tasty shark-bite snack. The shark bite races also featured lengthened second runs that ended near the BU crew house. RWU won the B division shark-bite race and Coast Guard won the A divison race. Gold stars go out to CGA, BATES, BOWDOIN, and BOSTON U for following directions and filling out the RP forms in all caps. 2 teams have yet to sign the RP form. A big thanks goes out to Janel Zarkowsky for helping on the RC boat today and Ewell Cardwell "Who's the Champ?" Potts IV for serving as the ICSA Rep. Tomorrow's report time is 930 AM.
