SAISA Women's Singlehanded Championships 2010
USF hosted the SAISA Women's Singlehanded Championship, aided by
fabulous weather on Tampa Bay. Nine races were completed, all WL x 2
with a gait, averaging 18 minutes in length, in 7-10 knot easterly
winds with a light chop. No protests, and very close racing with
numerous lead changes. The final race was a nail-biter, with three
competitors separated by only 2 points for the last qualifying spot.
Thanks to USF sailors and Eckerd and College of Charleston coaches for helping.
Congratulations to Eckerd College's Emilie Mademann and USF's Abby
Featherstone who will both advance to the ICSA/LaserPerformance
Singlehanded National Championships Nov 5-7, 2010, also on Tampa Bay.
