Beautiful weather in the 70's and 80's (maybe even warmer at times). Lighter
variable breezes mostly 4-8, some lighter and some heavier from the South
and West. Courses were modified trapezoids to accommodate 3 fleets (College
Men, High School Full Rig & Radial Rig).

Racing adjacent to the Belmont Pier provided great viewing. Thanks to the
cooperation of the City of Long Beach and Fred Khammar for use of the
facilities on the Pier. Also thanks to the USC Sailing Team, Rich Richards,
Stacy Conn, Danielle Richards, Chris Vetter, Steve Kent and John Long for
their help with Race Committee. Top 2 teams qualify for the National
Championships to be held in St. Petersburg, FL in November. Congratulations
to Oliver Toole - Stanford and Sean Kelly from Cal Maritime.
