These are the results for: Moody Trophy @ URI October 9-10
Saturday: A beautiful day on the Salt Pond with 8 races sailed in A and 6 in B. The day was sailed in a shifty westerly. Puffs were ranging from 0 to 14 knots, with the breeze direction constantly changing over a 110 degree range. The race committee stayed busy trying to stay on top of the changes and adjusting the courses. 3, 4, and 5 leg windward leeward courses, with a windward offset and a leeward gate, were sailed. No protests and no break downs on the day. Sunday: Another great day that started out light from the west and shifted to the southwest added velocity. The breeze built though out the day with several sets sailed in winds in the mid to high teens. 5 races were completed in A, while 7 races sailed in B. 1 protest was filed resulting in 1 DSQ. Another extreme tide resulted in many general recalls and several boats being scored OCS. A big thanks go out to our judges Ted Green, Leo Berendes and Susan Epstein for putting in two full days on the water. A special thanks goes out to the many Rhody Rams that helped out throughout the event, especially Ben Quatromoni '10, Missy Hudspeth '10 and Doug Young '12. Congratulations to the Yale Bulldogs for winning to 2010 Moody Trophy.
