Sherman Hoyt Trophy
Brown University/Edgewood Yacht club
October 23-24, 2010

A great day of racing on the Providence River with West/NW winds ranging
from 7-20 knots and extremely shifty and puffy. Lots of sun and cool with
temps in the 50's. Courses were W3's, W4's, and W5's. Three protests
resulting in a DSQ for Harvard and St. Mary's and one disallowed. Thanks to
our judges George Crocker, Kerry Sullivan, and Leo Berendes. A number of
yellow flags were given on the water as well. Extremely close racing with
Boston College and Roger Williams pulling ahead after 8 races in A-division
and 6 races in B-division.

Thanks as well to all the Brown Sailors that helped out: Jacob Tower '11,
Emmett Weeks '14, Tyler Rice '14, and Drew Shea '14.

Coverage of the Hoyt can be found at www.sailgroove.org Thanks Chris Love
and Tom.
