This year we will being trying out a new Online Registration system for
College and High School Regattas. As we are using Regatta Network this
should be generally familiar to most of you that have been entering other
regattas outside college in the past few years. Because this event is so
large (currently 31 colleges and nearly 60 High Schools expected) we need
all teams to complete an entry online before 5:00pm on January 3, 2011.
Sooner is better. Payment can be made online. This will greatly reduce the
"registration line" on Saturday morning and should make all of our lives
easier.

The Notice of Race, Link to the Online Entry Form and other regatta
information can all be found at:

www.uscsailing.org

Please note the following:

1. Colleges from outside California will be provided boats and sails.
One boat per school will be available after 1pm on Friday for practice. If
we haven't heard from you (via specific email in advance or your presence at
the US Sailing Center) by 1pm on 01/07/11 we may give your boat to another
group for practice. Friday practice will leave from the US Sailing Center -
Long Beach, CA. Boats will then be left at Alamitos Bay Yacht Club after
practice for the regatta. Shuttle service available all weekend.

2. PCCSC Colleges (except Hawaii) must bring a high quality PCCSC legal
boat and set of sails. We may end up providing sails for all teams but
please bring sails just in case.

3. There are 5 dinners included with entry for Saturday Night. Each
College Team will have an opportunity to give a three minute presentation on
your school and sailing team to the High School sailors, parents and coaches
also at the dinner. Additional dinner tickets can be ordered online during
entry, added via your "Edit Entry Link" that will be sent to you when you
enter, or purchased before 10am on Saturday morning at registration.

4. Regatta T-Shirts are available for pre-order online for $12.00 and
delivered at registration on Saturday morning. They will be $15.00 at the
regatta while supplies last.

5. We are planning to sail the college and High School Gold divisions
off of the Belmont Pier this year. There is a nice upscale snack bar at the
end of the pier that will be available during the event and we encourage you
to patronize it as the purveyor helps make our events at the pier possible.

We have arranged for a block of discounted rooms just a few minutes away at
the Ayres Hotel in Seal Beach. Follow the link and enter the Group/Promo
Code: USSC. Rooms should be priced at $99/per night + tax with the
promotional code. This is a VERY nice hotel with pool and Jacuzzi plus
included full breakfast each morning. The hotel is owned and operated by
sailors!
