Navy Fall Sunday was a bit of an improvement on the breeze side of things.
Teams arrived this morning to a shifty 10-12 knot Southerly breeze that
clocked Southeast throughout the day and built into the low teens. Early
on in the day, the course sailed was again a "Harbor Trapezoid" with an
extended second reach and last beat. As the breeze began to shift more to
the Southeast, we were able to fit the standard tried and true Navy
trapezoid into Annapolis Harbor just off of Triton Point. A total of eight
races in each division were completed before the three o'clock time limit
rolled around bringing the total number of races to 14 for the weekend.
One protest was filed in race 11 B resulting in a DSQ, and one request for
redress was granted in race 8 C.

A big thanks to the Navy Sailing Team members for moving marks and running
the event, Ken Legler and Janel Zarkowsky for hearing a protest, Bill Ward
for hearing a request for breakdown, and to Kyle Assad for helping out on
Race Committee today. Congratulations to the College of Charleston Cougars
for winning Navy Fall 2012. Complete results can be found at
