Day 1: Nine women’s teams competed in Charleston’s fleet of 18 FJs to complete 12 races on Crab Bank in a shifty northwesterly breeze of 9-17 knots. A combination of W4s, W5s, and gold cups were utilized making the combined division racing fun and competitive. Only three points separate Charleston, Georgetown, and Yale as we make the switch to 420s for the remaining six races. One protest was filed resulting in a DSQ. No breakdowns occurred.
Day 2: Six races were completed in the Cooper River using W4s and Charleston’s fleet of 18 420s. The breeze oscillated between north and west ranging from 3-16 knots while testing the patience of both race committee and sailors. No protests or breakdowns were submitted while the College of Charleston Cougars went on to win the 2013 Charleston Women’s Inter-conference Regatta. Georgetown's Nancy Hagood overcame a late charge by Abby Featherstone from the University of South Florida for the low-point victory. Congratulations to all of the competitors and thanks to the team of undergraduates for helping run a great event! 2013 Charleston Women's | ICSA Real-Time Regatta Results http://scores.collegesailing.org/s13/charleston-womens/ Mitchell Hall College of Charleston Assistant Sailing Coach 727 455 7907 cell 843 953 3679 office 843 953 6733 fax ________________________________________________ icsa mailing list [email protected] http://www.collegesailing.org/mailman/?listname=icsa Unsubscribe: Send a blank email to [email protected]
