Matt's ICQ Clone is a publically available ICQ clone for the console
developed under Linux. It is still under devlopment but updates are made
every few days or so. They are hoping to get a Qt or GTK frontend
developed as well as implementing the rest of the features of ICQ including
chat. So far it can, however, send and receive messages from the ICQ
network, list users that are offline and online including their online status,
search for users by email address and it's able to lookup basic (name,
UIN, eMail) information. It runs on the console in ANSI color and has
support for Linux and Win32 but it should compile on most other *nix's
as well.

Qmail 1.03 has just been announced by Dan J. Bernstein. Qmail is a Mail
Transport Agent (MTA) which is claimed to be faster than sendmail and
more flexible in user configurations.
The main change in this version is support for precompiled var-qmail
packages. Instructions how to install and build a var-qmail package can
