 |Draft submissions are blocked for a couple of weeks before in-person
 |meetings so that everyone can review a common, stable version before any
 |in-person discussion happens. The tool reopened for submissions yesterday
 |morning. If you still wish to post your update, you should be able to do
 |it now.

Yes, that i know, but i could submit the smtp-tls-srv-06 draft
three minutes before the DKIM draft.

And if i try it now, idnits waves it through just fine, but
submitting the draft fails with the same error as Sunday night,

This submission has been cancelled, modification is no longer possible.

as well as

2025-07-22 Submission rejected: Error during xml2rfc prep:
['**/draft-nurpmeso-dkim-access-control-diff-changes-07.xml(24): Error: Invalid
document before running preptool.']

So, something in the tooling is wrong, or some regular expression
is set somewhere that causes rejection.

 |I'm not sure this needs to be said, but this is a meaningless assertion;
 |given the datatracker will accept and publish whatever you send it, I don't
 |think any such recognition by the IETF attaches.

I have changed "accepting" to "adopting".

I still think, as i said in all-moderators-of-the-world-private
communication i think it was, that the IETF would do *itself*
a favourite if all the grief of the administrators, *any* SMTP MTA
operator mostly, shut-down service operators, and all that, is
worth at least a single official sentence. Which is why
i included that sentence.

Shall the group adopt that approach -- it would likely cause
changing all "SMTP rejection" to "DKIM signature verification
failure", and likely other changes -- it *can* of course be
removed again. But i would not do that.

Thanks to you again, also for unbreaking automatized rejections!

Ciao,
