Steve, There are two features of Mail Markup Language that are patent pending, where that protection is owned by Travelocity. The SAFE specification includes a hypothetical example that references Mail Markup Language, but does not reference any of the protected features in that example. SAFE is language independent. Since SAFE features nothing protected and references nothing protected there is no complication that I am aware of. If a liberal enough licensing scheme is decieded upon for Mail Markup Language I will submit it as a draft standard, otherwise it will continue to be far removed from association with a standards body per request of the property owner.
