Hi Matt,

Thanks for the heads up. This may be an issue in production but, it
shouldn't be affecting my lab environment. At least I don't think there
are more than 1,000 users (I'll verify though).

Thank You,

Thanks to ravi and decriptor on #ifolder, I've figured out how to
successfully sync the AD. Turns out it was an ID10-T error (there's a
setting on the servers page-who'd a thunk?) I do still have an issue with
why it doesn't sync all the users. That may be an actual bug but, I'm
going to try decriptor's appliance to see if it's just a patch I'm
missing.

I also discovered that the web access security issue is a known bug which
has been fixed in the SVN trunk. Decriptor's latest appliance should fix
that.

Sorry about that :-(. We recently switched our forums on our website and
they haven't been well adopted yet. The mailing list is the best place
for support right now. Are you using iFolder from OES or the open
version?

>>> Kevin Updegrove <[email protected]> 7/20/2009 9:55 AM >>>

Hi Brent,

I hope you won't find this too much of an intrusion but, I wanted to
express my appreciation for resurrecting the iFolder project.
Unfortunately, the forums do not appear to be active at all and I'm
receiving little to no help at #ifolder on freenode.

My company has been a long time Novell shop. Recently, Management has
dictated that we will move to Active Directory. Although I was looking
forward to the transition to Linux, I don't get much of a say. That said,
we would like to continue to use iFolder and have chosen the openSUSE
route. I've been able to setup everything and it's working to a point.
The AD tree is being read but, it's not getting all the users. There does
not seem to be any rhyme or reason to what is being missed. Users are
picked up in all OUs from the root of the tree but, not all of them. Also,
the Administration page does not refresh the data when a user is added or
changed. I have to delete the cache in ../simias/CollectionFiles and
re-run the simias-server-setup script.

I've spent two weeks trying to track down an answer and I've decided to
reach out to you in desperation. I hope that you will be able to assist
or at least point me to an active user group who might be able to help.

Thank You,

Kevin Updegrove

I am having an issue with a Win2008 Active Directory tree and LDAP.
Currently I am running openSUSE 11.1 x86-64 and using the
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Mono:/UIA:/iFolder/MonoOpenSUSE_11.1

repo to install ifolder-enterprise and ifolder-enterprise-plugins

I am able to setup and read the AD tree using the admin website; however,
not all of my users are showing up. The problem does not seem to be the
CN for the proxy as all the OUs are represented in the user list. There
seems to be no rhyme or reason as to which users are not being displayed;
although, we have been focused on a single user with multiple accounts.
These accounts of course all have a unique CN. I am expecting them all to

be present in the user list.

Finally, the users are not being refreshed upon revisiting the admin page.

For example, if I add a new user to the tree, the user does not show up
in the user list. Has anyone experience similar issues with Active
Directory via LDAP? If so, have you been able to solve the problem(s)?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

How big is your AD tree? AD by default will only return 1000 entries
in an LDAP search (they expect you to use the paged control if it's
over 1000). You can increase this by setting the MaxPageSize value in
AD.
