Well Kinshuk, location + gmaps modules with events wont be enough. Though it would just solve the purpose, but wont bring the usability, and ease we are talking here. you are right, no registration, straight event + location info should be great.The best i can say right now is - to bring the right usability to fossevents.in with all the functionalities, it would need work to done upon, custom modules, and some views to enhance the usability.
I worked on adding facebook connect feature on this website, but currently fossevents.in is on Drupal 5, hence it lacks the brand new modules and features. @Vinay and Satya The biggest problem with the web app would be the usability, with calendar and maps. I am working on a project which is somewhat similar to it, which keeping me really short of time for next 3 weeks or so. I would really love to help develop the fossevents.in.
