A free software forum running on a forum which uses closed software ( Google) seems a bit unrealistic ( or would you call it a necessary evil) If you prefer we can all sit together and work out something which is fully open source. My personal preference is Drupal running on a LAMP server. I am happy to set this up if anyone is interested :-)
