Yes, Turbo C++ is outdated! Ancient by modern standards! It gives novice
students the impression that all programs are created in such an
environment.

Even if the students realise that it is outdated most of the practicals in
the labs of most Indian colleges use it. Therefore teachers are familiar
with only with that and it will cause some confusion if one student tries to
do OpenGl  programming when compared to the standard BGI graphics in DOS!!
So you have to be careful with that.

The only way to be safe is to replace Turbo C with some newer IDE in the
college labs!
