So Is it possible to get the whole repository from IIT Madras in DVDs?

Have a look at "jigdo":

 http://www.debian.org/CD/jigdo-cd/

It allows one to build official CD images (bit for bit identical)
by pulling files from any mirror. So it is not really necessary to
download the entire CD/DVD from the main site.

I am not sure whether Ubuntu provides jigdo images.

Regards,

Kapil.

Kapil,

Ubuntu does provide jigdo files. However, there really is no advantage
to this over just using BitTorrent. Also, you can only recreate the
official images.

I believe that Shrinivasan wants the entire repository on DVD. If this
is possible from IITM, I'd like to know too.
