Hello,

I am curious as to why you suggest this.

Does gmail does not have a way to automatically classify incoming mail
into different mail folders? I recall something called "tags" which
seemed to be similar to mail folders.

The digest mode is for people who wish to see the messages only
once in a while _and_ use an antiquated mail program.

With most modern mail programs it is easy to classifying incoming mail
into folders so that one does not have to read a particular folder
until one wants to. You can even set up "auto-aging" so that messages
older than a certain date are automatically erased.

There are a number of reasons why one should try to use one (or a
small number of) e-mail id(s) for as long as possible. Primarily, in
the FOSS world it allows people to identify your interaction with the
community.

Regards,

Kapil.
