The foremost need is Tamil Interface User base & passion to see the desktop in one's own language. Our people lack that. With English Speaking Tamil people, this has seldom been the need & the needy Tamil people Speaking people seldom have computers. NRCFOSS does already. It supports our efforts. We need to knock it and show some continuous good work. The doors are open. It supports two students who are currently creating a Tamil font, it is supporting our proposal for a Ubuntu and Fedora Books in Tamil & also KDE translation. Among the other projects that we have taken up with its support is the Tamil Spell checker. We recently added a lakh of word to Hunspell dictionary, We believe it gets reflected in Fedora 12. The iok packaging was done at NRCFOSS.
