It is an on going pilot. A couple have finished their internship BUT they have worked out for me; one dropped out after 3 weeks. I am using this process to weed out the chaff, those who want the training at the expense of small cos. Once inducted into full time we make a commitment for 24 months and likewise ask the same from the candidates - I think it is fair to both sides. > > My experience. > 1. About 50% ask what is the pay scale rather than details about the job description. They are only interested in the money and not doing anything useful for their employer. It pervades in all the disciplines not just IT. >5 It is obvious that institutions teach what they want to > teach and not what is required by the industry. Collectively, of the past several years, they have created a brand name for themselves. Some of them don't care - they do not return my calls when I ping them to send over potential candidates! Some have deep pockets to become "Training Partners"; gives them branding. The instructors are fresh grads either from their own institution or similar place (who most likely could not get a job on merits). -- Arun Khan _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, email [email protected] with "unsubscribe <password> <address>" in the subject or body of the message. http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
