Use http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/2/simple/2 Check your CentOS version. Search for libelf.so Appear it is from ftp.centos.org/5.3/os/i386/CentOS/elfutils-libelf-devel-0.137-3.el5.i386.rpm Install it through "yum install elfutils-libelf-devel" Then install the rpm package. Ensure that the package your are trying to install, is unavailable from the repos. yum list | grep <package name> should help you.
