Excellent choice ! At the end of the day however, the people who do want to subvert this sharing, will probably just go ahead and do it anyways. The onus would be on you to prove that they did so (just take a look at gpl-violations.org for examples of how even big companies rip off the efforts of developers without any acknowledgment). However, at least by using something like GPL you expressively make it /illegal/ and not just /immoral/ to not share modifications.
