Looking at the code, I notice that there several things that needs to be done to bring it to a reasonable quality. - Proper Indentation of code - Try avoiding system() as much as possible - 'reset' will clear the terminal emulator's (xterm) history find alternative. I don't know Ruby so I cannot comment on code any further. Ruby experts in the list might be able to help you better.
