Hello everybody, I installed the redhat 9.0 package for openldap.i then edited the the ldap.conf &the slapd.conf according to my domain.But slapd is not starting.
What has ldap got to do with domain names.If my domain name is abc.com and instead of that I write efg.com in the slapd.conf file then will slapd start.Should my DNS files reflect the domain I am mentioning in my slapd.conf file Also I don't have a local database on my system.My /var/lib/ldap dir is empty.Should I insatll MySQL or something on my system?
