try this

make entries in /etc/fstab,like:
/dev/hda1 /mnt/dos vfat
user,uid=520,gid=100,umask=2,nosuid,nodev,noexec 0 0


Make sure you do "mkdir /mnt/dos" first, of course.
(actually this gets automatically mounted at boot
