$Can anyone help me for checking linux version. $On one PC fedora red hat linux is installed. I want to know $how to check by $command waht version of linux is installed. Or if by any other $method is $there to check it.
The usual command on redhat is `cat /etc/redhat-release`, but it wont work for the rest of the distros. There was a discussion on this topic some time back.
