I'm using Sony DSC-M1 which Debian (2.6.12.6)
The good thing is that as soon as I plug the USB cable, the OS recognizes it
exactly as the model and make the camera is.
So yes, most of the cameras are supported by Linux.
As for the application, no. Atleast KDE Kcontrol's Digikam module doesn't
list my camera in it.
