On a recently updated Fedora Core 5 installation, System hangs just after starting HAL Daemon. Started the system in character mode "init 3", to discover this. The system was updated and operated well for a few days. After I applied recent updates, I remember one of them was xorg related, the system hangs. Alt-F2 etc does'nt present a logon screen...
I am locked.
