I am not sure about the Open Source initiative, but atleast the Free Software movement is about software, philosophy and law. All three of them strongly relating to software freedom. Therefore the statement "Microsoft is in the software business, just like the FOSS fellows" is faulty. Microsoft was never in the business of spreading the philosophy of software freedom, and never supported any legislation to implement it. > I really don't understand what the big deal is.
