anybody read the roach-bite at the end of that 'opensource' hero story
on microsoft's site? here it is, quoted under fair-user:

"Get the tools that make these heroes successful. Order your own Hero Hack Pack.

Each Pack contains free evaluation editions of Windows Server 2008,
Visual Studio 2008, and the essentials for getting started with open
source. Plus, randomly hidden in the Packs are 10 vouchers for free
passes to the Open Source Convention (OSCON) this summer."

now that's interesting. what's getting bundled here with 'opensource hero pack'?

<trivia>ps: what's a roach-bite? urbandictionary or even a
google-search doesn't define it. i read the meaning of this slang in
wired magazine almost a decade ago.
so, fyi, when an inspired story, film, commentary, or whatever,
suddenly ends with a product plug, more specifically when your hero,
who could be a cricket-star or an opensource guru or a film-star, has
to pick up the product he's pitching: shampoo, drink, potato chips, or
whatever, and actually consumes it for nothin' more than all the money
he's got to do it, well, that's a roach-bite.</trivia>
