First run wvdialconf from the terminal this will identify the serial port to which your phone modem is connected to and write a configuration file to /etc/wvdia.conf
check for this line in /etc/wvdial.conf Init3 = AT+CGDCONT=1, "IP", "airtelgprs.com" if not present add it. > Should I put my phone number or as displayed here? Yes change the phone no to the displayed no. > in my case Baud was 46000, should I change it to 9600? No leave it as it is. > On running wdial, my phone dialed and a showed a call being made. Now type wvdial from the terminal. and I guess it should work now. -- cheers amit _______________________________________________ ilugd mailinglist -- ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org/
