I was just reading http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/8206280.stm
Two things struck me about the above article on bbc news. 1. The professor's name is a bit of a sanitization problem that reminds me of http://xkcd.com/327/ 2. In the article, the ability of ideas to spread and take over the world in real life is explained as being comparable to the ability of zombies to spread and take over the world in movies. Ironically, in real life there is a battle between the GPL spreading freedom and security, and the zombie machines running on MS systems that go around spreading spam and creatng more zombies on the net.
