Please, please do not use these; the font uses a non-standard location / codepoint for the rupee sign. Most scripts in the world have moved (or are in the process of moving) to Unicode (UTF-X) or ISO TEC 10646 (they are same) standards for character encoding. They have started the process for encoding the rupee sign wihin 18 or 24 hours of the Indian government's decision . The rupee symbol in the above fonts are using a non-standard code point - I need not even look at the font; sorry, and I have no intention to. It is not just the font, the OS, particularly, the keyboard drivers, etc, too need to be modified to support the rupee symbol. And unless there is a standard codepoint for the symbol, using it will cause more harm than good. We have seen the problem in writing Indian lanuages - each vendor used their own encoding schema, and the result was utter chaos and non-portability of data. Please do not repeat it. There were similar problems wih the Euro sign, it seems. We have lived for several years without a sign for the rupee, we can live another 3 to 9 months without a rupee symbol on the computer. > I searched wikipedia & found ttf is a proprietary format.
