But even in Kerala they are not using it now. All are in windows. and more
over the Biometric scanners works only with Windows . There is no vendor
independence here , Both Scanner supply and deduplication will be done by
L-1 Security solutions  (OT: which also have former CIA people on sitting
on their  board)

I have seen some tweets about CIDR is using MySQL  (from OSI India days
presentation by a UIDAI guy) . But while going through #UIDAI documents ,
the general perception i am getting is this. UIDAI assumes several
practices when put into operation will overcome the horrendous
impracticality of biometric id systems.
