hi! we were sitting front row center. i was sitting closest to the stage
and kenard was sitting on the other side of the table (across from me)
facing the stage. so, he was close...was surprised he got such a good
recording sitting so close...typically best sound is heard as far back
from the stage as the speakers are apart from each other....no?

has anyone anything to say about the lancaster show? i had promised my
older sister before the innocence mission listed their tour dates that i
would go with her to a nickleback concert. (yes, lets pause to get out a
good laugh). it's so rare my sister gets out...having two young children,
that when my sister asked, i couldn't refuse. (the last one she asked me
to was for a band called saliva! that was a hoot.) when the innocence
mission posted their tour dates and i found that they had a lancaster
show on november first, my heart sank! didn't tell my sis, in hopes of
avoiding making her feel badly and did the right thing by going to utica
to see nickleback. there i was in the bleechers looking down on a sea of
bobbing heads and eddy's of mosh pits through clouds of smoke and singed
eyelashes (there were flames i say! huge, tall, flames!) loud white
fireworks exploded (the kind that you feel down to your core and leave
you wondering if you've got anything left to listen with) and i screamed!
i screamed like a girl, saturated by shock and terror! i sat stunned and
turned to the clock thinking karen could be up on stage right now singing
with a soft piano: "when mac was swimming, i was running late, walking
around new orleans looking for a birthday cake." and i smiled, thinking
could i be at a more polar opposite show? i looked out of the corner of
my eye to my sis...a 33 year old woman with a 1 1/2 and a 4 year old back
home...a tucked in shirt with a little bit of lipstick on (a busy moms
dress up for a night on the town) mouthing every word of nickleback
through a smile. and you know, i felt good. didn't think of the lancaster
show another time that night. how good it is to spend time with loved
ones...no matter where you are!

i do wonder though...how was the chameleon show? did ya all have a good
time? did you make a weekend out of it?

hope you're all well ~emily
