I have had a Lacie USB and now I have a Lacie firewire. I had no problems with either of them and I burn CDs constantly. The only difference, of course, is the firewire is much faster and less coasters. The reason I got coasters when I first got my Lacie and grape DV, was I was using lousy cheap no name blanks, but when I used Lacie CDs, I never had a problem. I found with the USB I had to cut back to 2x speed from the max of 4x that I could burn. When I did that, the coasters stopped even on the lousy blanks. With the burnproof firewire, I have had no problems on any blank, but I try to stay with a brand name now. Brian Jones Aruba -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
