I am presuming that your 266 is a tray loader.

Wow, that is interesting indeed. My mom has a 233 Rev.A and an external
Iomega CDRW would be $370 Canadian from Staples. An internal CDRW would not
only be much cheaper (she's on very limited funds) but also much more
convenient.

After all isn't one of the reasons for the iMac's design to reduce desktop
clutter?
