Hi--

You should definitely check the Internet Control Panel settings as suggested
by Marc, but I fear this will not change anything for you.

AOL and Netscape are very close, business wise, now and since AOL controls
the link from Instant Messenger to the stock quote area I assume a "deal"
has been struck between AOL and Netscape to deliver you to a Netscape
controlled site.

As far as I know you cannot control where you are taken to view the stock
quotes when you click the symbol, again it's controlled by AOL. There may be
a way to "Hack" the application to get what you want...I know there are
several such hacks available to *cosmetically* change AOL Instant Messenger
(splash screen, remove banner ads etc.).

When I click a stock symbol in IM it opens Internet Explorer or brings the
running application to the front and proceeds to load
http://channels.netscape.com/ns/pf/stocks.jsp after forwarding from another
page which apparently no longer works.

FYI, clicking on the news ticker also now takes you to a Netscape site.

I know this probably doesn't help but it may explain the problem.
