My Flower Power iMac was purchased from a company which advertised it as
new; however, it was actually lightly used The most irksome thing about it,
is only OS 9.1 was included. I'm really itchy to make the move to X. I
have found on eBay "near flawless" iMac restore software (9.1 and 10.0.3)
which is represented as never used, but the seller states no license is
included.

Might it work anyway? What about the same product represented as
unused/never registered? Or,should I just wait for Jaguar?

BTW, it has Applecare 'til next March from the original owner--the Apple
employee transferred it to my name--but somehow I don't think that entitles
me to a "replacemnt" copy of X.

Thanks,

Karen
