Thanks John! It seems to work better if I copy things in smaller bits but the problem is as a designer I work in big files, and if the file i want to transfer is big there really is no way around it. Also I can't get iTunes to rip mp3's from a cd either. I just get the spinning rainbow ball for ever!
Does anyone have any more information on this "architecture and the way it handled ethernet transfers"? The drive is USB though, is it a similar architecture problem?? I would dearly love if anyone could help me get to the bottom of this :-) Kath >Date: Wed, 31 Jul 2002 10:16:19 -0500 >Subject: Re: external cd-rom woes >From: John Haumann <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > >On Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at 03:47 AM, -hoongirl- wrote: > >> I have an external USB kodak (teac) cd-rom attached to my 350mhz slot >> loading iMac running OSX.
