I have the opportunity to get a great deal thru tomorrow on an new iMac. My
local mac dealer will match the free ram of macmall (better quality I am
told?), $20 ram install..and take $100 off the bottom line as they are
trying to push machines out to meet their quarterly goal.. I was pretty much
looking at the eMac and the iMac combo. After reading some of the posts on
the Apple message boards I will probably opt for the iMac. Any reason that
the combo is a better deal than the base iMac...I guess the question really
comes down to whether the DVD is important..will software be loaded on DVD
format in the future instead of CD? If the only benefit to the DVD is to
watch DVD movies than it probably is not worth it for me... (

Also, is it even worth taking the Epson 820..I have to pay $99 but get it
back on rebate. I have not been overly impressed with Epson in the past but
just don't know about this model..for free it may be good to just have for
emergencies.

Thanks in advance for any feedback
