That is my experience (but with Discribe, instead of Toast).  If you 
want to burn from iTunes in OS-9, Make sure all third-party burning 
extensions are disabled and all of the Apple CD-related extensions are 
active.  The Sony Spressa USB, CRX100E works just fine this way.
