Since I'm new around here, I will skip my usual lecture about copyright law and what kind of values you are passing on to your daughter by encouraging her to steal music. Instead I will direct you to check out www.mp3.com, where she can find loads of legal MP3s to enjoy, a lot of them from independent and unsigned artists. Many of the bigger-name bands have their own websites (heck, doesn't EVERY musician?) and most of them offer some form of legal downloadable MP3s. There is also a service I believe is called Liquid Audio where, for a reasonable set monthly fee, you are allowed to download whatever mp3s you like. Seems like a good deal and the artists get a much bigger cut than they would if you bought it in a store. Some artists, such as Joe Jackson and Elvis Costello, are offering MP3 versions of their songs (or in EC's case, whole albums) for an extremely modest fee.
