That's not QUITE the same thing, though. This setting would affect EVERY message I reply to that isn't in plain text, regardless who I'm sending to. This would become a problem on those occasions, especially on Yahoo! based groups, when I receive HTML or rich text postings. To MAILING LISTS, I ALWAYS send plain text. Setting "when replying" to send back in the same format as the original, however, would force my client to make the same inappropriate format as the original poster. I would prefer to be able to control format on a user-by-user or address-by-address basis. Failing that, staying with plain ASCII text is a lot easier and guarantees compatibility. John A.
