I should have elaborated on that. I haven't had any problem with the slot-loading iMacs (in fact, I'm typing this to you on one!) and Jag, but that's because I routinely run Software Update so any firmware updates are done automatically. If SU gives you the all-clear, you should be fine. If your OS is *very* old (like 9.0 or earlier), then you may want to update it to the latest 9 *before* attempting to install Jag. _Chas_ Come to ...
