Charles:
When I first opened Photoshop, I got a message about my monitor settings
being defective and that I should rerun the calibration software.
I went into the monitor setup assistant and I think I chose a 600X800
resolution.
Would I be better off with the higher 1024x768? I haven't done so much
as to try to make a collage for a web page assignment for a class, so I
cant judge from experience. It seemed like all the print shrank when I
chose the higher resolution. At the resolution I have, I've noticed that
quotation marks and exclamation marks become a blur or shadow. I'm not
sure I calibrated the monitor to my best advantage. Does this suggest a
particular adjustment is needed?
Concerning fashion sense, I once thought the iBooks were
"over-designed" or like the proverbial "purse". Now I think they're
cool. However, if I do start to pick up a thing or two about design, I
can see the that day will be nigh when I'll be dying for a new PowerBook
screen and/or a 22''/23" cinema display. I now realize that it's not
just a luxury to have that horizontal screen real estate when working
with several windows open and manipulating several palettes.
So far, I've got Photoshop loaded on a Dalamtian. That's pushing it!
Thanks, Donald
