On my imac 233 Mz, Jaguar is just as fast or faster than OS9 ever was.
I have heard that 10.0 was slower, but that's NOT the case now.
Additionally, it feels MUCH faster as it launches or switches when you
command it. No way this is slower than OS9. This is one advantage of
having an old machine - I can really tell when anything slows down the
box. Putting Jaguar and some memory in the imac will keep me going for
another couple of years, at least. For inet and word processing, I
don't think I'll ever need to upgrade. And that's $$$$ in the bank! I
also got an educational deal of $69 - the best $$$ I ever spent, and
I'm watching pennies right now. I've worked in IT for over 20 years, on
almost every platform out there, and Jaguar is the best OS I've ever
seen, bar none! BUY IT!!!
