For some months most of my correspondents have been receiving an "Auto- Reply" e-mail after sending me something. This Auto-Reply does not have a subject or a message and must be very annoying. It was brought to my attention just recently and had not shown up in my SENT files.
I have an iMac 350 -OS 9.2.2, 164 ram and use both Navigator 4.79 and sometimes Outlook Express 5.05. Both send these auto -replies. I have scoured all preferences, trashed some and nothing helps. Nothing in the Help sections. I have Cox Broadband and no luck with 2 tech calls. One said he had just fixed it?? The 2nd advised me to upgrade to Navigator 7. I did, although I had had problems with it before, but still the hated Auto-Reply; so I cleaned 7.0 out and went back to 4.79. I have enjoyed this list for several years and have solved my few problems by reading your messages every day and filing some away, but this strange Auto-Reply business has me buffaloed. Help!!
